Following their cue, Shannon Giglio, author of Short Bus Hero, and her publisher, Nightscape Press, are pleased to announce that they will be donating profits from the book’s sales from March 1through March 15, 2015 to Pittsburgh’s Achieva. In Short Bus Hero, Giglio paints a heart-rending portrait of a young woman with Down syndrome who wants nothing more than to help her fallen hero get back into the ring after his organization lets him go. “I was inspired by my sister-in-law to write this book. She is the most enthusiastic wrestling fan that I’ve ever met in my life,” says Giglio. “I never knew anyone with Down syndrome before I met her, and she changed the way I look at the world.
