NEW YORK - March 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Continuing their "United We Serve the Homeless RV Tour", From Words 2 Action Outreach RV Ministry is meeting with staff, clergy and members,  of Restoration Temple Ministry at 100 E 17th Street, New York, NY & MCCNY Charities, Inc.- Sylvia's Homeless LGBTQ Youth Services, Thursday February 26, 2015 12noon - 2pm, leading volunteers onto the streets & shelters of NY. The goal was to show love to those in need by donating, a night off the streets, coats, clothing, snack bags and hugs to assist during the cold whether that so many bitterly face on the streets throughout the city and shelters

Due to several circumstances, many people end up living in shelters and on the streets of America and Abroad. Many are Veterans having served our country and now feel casted out, dismissed and forgotten. Most of these veterans live with PSTD and have trouble re -entering civilian life and end up on the streets.   LGBTQ Teens make up a large part of the street's homeless family and make tough choices every day to survive one more day. The fortunate ones end up in Shelters like Sylvia's.

From Words 2 Action Outreach Ministry encourages each community to volunteer and continue their generous donations of clothing, coats/gloves blankets and personal care items, feminine products, food, snacks etc., for families and individuals. "If we dig a little deeper, make a few more sacrifices, it will make a huge difference for our neighbors who need help all year long not just holidays, but especially in bitter winter months" stated Founder Jazzie Jones-Smith.

Volunteers arrived Thursday afternoon dressed appropriately for cold temperatures of 20 degrees and served appx 40ppl on the streets. With warm smiles and gratitude men, women, teens and some pets too, received bags of instant soup, crackers and snacks with love messages of encouragement. Always making sure to end with a big hug, each volunteer encouraged each person to visit the church or shelter to find help and resources after From Words 2 Action leaves.
