growing The Little Nest to the next level

ATLANTA - March 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Less than two years ago, with no more than $300, I took the first steps to turn the dream of owning a business into a reality. Since then I have had many triumphs, many failures, many moments of gratitude, many times that I questioned the decision, breakthroughs, sleepless nights, long hours, laughs, cries, panic attacks, and utter awe.  It's truly a rollercoaster ride that I am so lucky and grateful to be on!

From this dream of wanting to own a creative business, The Little Nest was born. The Little Nest is a baby line offering boutique quality baby clothes, bibs, and accessories.  If you are interested in learning more about it, the website is www.the-little-nest.com.

I am so proud of this business! I literally started sewing bibs using a $50 sewing machine at my kitchen table.  And today I have customers in 29 different states and my line is carried by 5 (soon to be 6!) boutiques in the Eastern US!! When I stop to think about the speed at which this business has grown, I feel so incredibly lucky and blessed.

So why do I need Go Fund Me? I'd really like to take my business to the next level and to do this I need to hire a part time assistant. I need to be able to focus on creating and making product while someone else does the other million things that are necessary to keep things moving forward.  The majority of the $6,500 is to cover an assistant’s wages of $12 an hour for 20 hours a week for 6 months.  The remaining $740 is for better equipment and supplies that will be needed for new products.  While The Little Nest is doing well, it is still a new business which means that most of the profits I am making goes back into growing it.  I honestly  just don't have the extra capital right now to put towards paying wages to someone. It's a frustrating place to be.

I have been so incredibly lucky and blessed with this business.  I have had wonderful support from friends and family.  So many people have offered me so much encouragement and constructive feedback, and I truly think that has made all the difference in my journey! Thank you for showing up to craft shows to see my booth, for visiting boutiques I am in, for buying from the little nest, but mostly for believing in me and my dreams!
