NEW YORK - Feb. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Low-cost Mexican airline Volaris has expanded its flight service out of the Orlando International Airport (MCO) by adding non-stop service to Guadalajara, Mexico.

Volaris will have two round-trip flights a week between the cities starting Nov. 18, using both 144-seat Airbus A319 and 174-seat Airbus A320 jets on the route.

The carrier has been in Orlando since 2012, when Orlando was the only Florida airport with the airline, with flights to Mexico City. Flights to Guadalajara out of Orlando started November. This is Orlando's first carrier to provide service to that region of Mexico.

The airline's expansion, which was announced in August, was celebrated at the airport with a water salute for the first Volaris flight from Guadalajara to Orlando

The route will be its first-ever regularly scheduled non-stop airline service to Guadalajara.

Volaris already flies one route from Orlando, offering non-stop service to Mexico City. Volaris began that route in 2012 with two weekly flights, though it currently flies the route four times a week.
