Alphabet Kids Books Celebrate Diversity on the Red Carpet at the OscarsBy: Alphabet Kids Prior to the award ceremony at the Red Carpet Lounge Honoring the 2015 Academy Award nominees, Alphabet Kids founders Allegra Joyce Kassin and Patrice Samara were attracting celebrities as they took Hollywood by storm on their Many Faces-Many Places Tour. It's relevant because diversity is the focus of the Alphabet Kids, championing tolerance and understanding from the start with a strong belief in raising children to be active global citizens and literacy. They showcased their Alphabet Kids Series to television and motion picture stars. Many of whom, it turned out, were already fans. Stopping by were Omar Dorsey of Selma, Marsai Martin of Black-ish, Donis Leonard, Jr. of House of Lies, Asia Monet Ray of Raising Asia, Ava Kolker of Girl Meets World and Jessica Marie Garcia, who portrayed Willow in Disney Channel Original Series Liv and Maddie. Garcia stated, "I wish I had books like this when I was growing up. No one ever looked like me. These are much needed." The Alphabet Kids books follow the fun adventures of a diverse group of endearing characters with unique cultures, music, and customs. The stories help children learn to love who they are and realize that people who are different can be very good friends. They created the “Alphabet Kids Buy One - Give One Literacy Program” and donate one book to a child in need for each book purchased. The Alphabet Kids Many Faces-Many Places Tour continues this month with a stop in Las Vegas for Nevada Reading Week and special appearances with Fox5 Vegas Anchor Monica O. Jackson. End
