Albany Realty Group Makes Donation for Each Closing to Help the Homeless

ALBANY, N.Y. - Feb. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Albany Realty Group made a donation to Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless for each closing the real estate firm had during 2014. The grand total donated was $1,050.

Broker/owner Marie Bettini was prompted to start the charitable giving initiative after reading news coverage about a homeless woman who had frozen to death while sheltering on the back porch of a Saratoga Springs, NY, senior citizens center in December 2013.

“This was appalling and shocking and spoke to me in a very personal way,” Bettini said. “My job every day is helping people find a place to live. How could I ignore people having no place to go? I vowed to find a way to make a difference for those who cannot help themselves.”

That vow led Bettini to contact Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless the next day.

“After meeting IPH’s caring, committed staff and touring the facilities, I decided to make a donation for each closing that Albany Realty Group had during the year. This was a good decision, and I will continue this practice for each closing during 2015,” Bettini said.
