WOBURN, Mass. - Feb. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- City of Ponce is the first municipality in the state or Puerto Rico to deploy such a state-of-the-art system

WebMedicPro Inc., a leading provider of secure mobile electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) system, today announced that City of Ponce, the second largest city in state of Puerto Rico, has equipped its ambulances with state-of-the-art mobile patient care reporting system called AmbuPad.  In addition, the city’s EMS dispatch system has been replaced and upgraded with WebMedicPro’s seamlessly integrated Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.  Combined, these technologies will help City of Ponce’s EMS Ambulance Service enhance the response time, provide advanced levels of care, and help improve patient outcomes.

“The City of Ponce’s Emergency Medical Service is the first state ambulance service to fully implement these cutting edge technologies across all its fleet of vehicles,” said Dr. Delgado, Medical Director of City of Ponce.   “These integrated technologies from WebMedicPro are helping us to respond faster and deliver advanced levels of care, while helping us improve quality of patient care for our citizens.  The introduction of these new technologies is a testament to our city’s visionary mayor to continuously modernize and evolve our services to meet the needs of our community.  We have been more than pleased with WebMedicPro, its products and great team of professionals.”

AmbuPad is a secure, mobile electronic device that provides patient charting capabilities during transports. The documentation is done in accordance with the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS 3.X) standards.  Medics use the AmbuPad to properly and accurately document the entire patient care protocols and procedures as required by law while on route.

In addition to AmbuPad, City of Ponce is also using WebMedicPro’s integrated CAD system.  When an EMS call comes in, the incident data is captured by the CAD and all the data is sent to the AmbuPad securely and immediately assigned to a crew to respond.  This integrated approach improves communications and time-to-respond.  Additionally, it completely eliminates paper, double data entry and any associated human errors.

“We are extremely honored to work with Mayor Dr. María Eloisa Meléndez Altieri and Dr. Delgado. They are visionaries and this implementation represents a major commitment to provide the highest level of patient care and serving the citizens of the City of Ponce.  It is also an indication to the strong partnership between WebMedicPro and the City of Ponce,” said Hadi Shavarini CEO of WebMedicPro, Inc. “In addition, our PR distribution partner, Beyed Enterprises, has been instrumental in providing us with first-rate training and service support for deploying these new technologies.”
