Butterfly Sponsors the 2015 Butterfly Canadian Junior & Cadet Open Tournament

WILSON, N.C. - Feb. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Butterfly is proud to sponsor the 2015 Butterfly Canadian Junior & Cadet Open table tennis tournament scheduled for May 11 to May 14, 2015 in Markham, Ontario.

Organized by Table Tennis Canada, this International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF, Global Junior Circuit stop attracts athletes from around the world. Through this competition, players can have Global Junior Circuit points collected to be qualified for the annual Global Junior Circuit Finals. This international tournament provides a good opportunity for the Junior and Cadet players to compete at a higher level of competition.

Last year’s event had eighty-four junior and cadet table tennis athletes, from seven countries, registered to compete. Including thirteen Butterfly sponsored players from Canada and the United States that claimed gold medals. Kanak Jha won the Boys Junior Singles and Cadet Singles titles, Prachi Jha captured the Girls Junior Singles title and Crystal Wang secured the Girls Cadet Singles title. The venue for the 2015 Butterfly Canadian Junior & Cadet Open is the Markham Pan Am Centre. This community center is located at 16 Main Street Unionville, in the city’s developing downtown area. The Markham Centre is also the home for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games.
