Executive Producer, Elliott Broidy Helps Create Impactful Films

Elliott Broidy’s philanthropic endeavors have taken him straight to the movie set, and he does not plan to stop.

Feb. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Elliott Broidy, tenacious philanthropist and CEO of Broidy Capital, has taken on the role as executive producer in order to achieve charitable goals.  From financial support to contributing his time, energy and resources, Elliott Broidy has filled many roles to ultimately raise awareness for causes important to him and his family.

Sugar

In 2013, Elliott Broidy served as executive producer for the independent film, ‘Sugar.”  He joined the crew after meeting with Director Rotimi Rainwater, whose personal experiences with homelessness are the basis for the movie. As a philanthropist working hard to improve Los Angeles, Elliott Broidy was committed to the films support for homeless youth in his hometown of Los Angeles and throughout the country.

“Sugar” follows a fictitious young girl, Sugar, who is homeless in Venice Beach. The film follows Sugar and her homeless friends as they navigate forming their own kind of family living on the streets of Los Angeles.

Snake and Mongoose

In 2013, Elliott Broidy served as executive producer for the independent film, ‘Snake and Mongoose.”  This depicted the untold story of how Southern California drag racers, Don "The Snake" Prudhomme and Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen combined with corporate giants to change the face of sports and ultimately became the most famous rivalry in racing history.  Elliott Broidy was always fascinated with the rivalry between the two racers so this was a natural project for him to be part of.

Elliott Broidy graduated with an MBA from the USC Marshall School Business. He went on to start Broidy Capital Management in 1991. Elliott Broidy was appointed by Secretary Michael Chertoff to serve on the United States Homeland Security Advisory Council and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Police Foundation. Elliott Broidy was also appointed by the President to serve on the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.
