Compass Commercial / ITRA Global Founder Lynn Drake Nominated for award

Feb. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Lynn Drake, president and founderof Compass Commercial / ITRA Global (http://www.compass-commercial.com/) in Troy, Mich. has been nominated for Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan’s “One Tough Cookie” Recognition.

In 2013, Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan created a new recognition called “One Tough Cookie” in order to inspire the next generation of female leaders. This recognition honors the contributions women make in the community for leadership and community service.

In addition to her work at Compass Commercial, Drake has volunteered for several years with Winning Futures where she mentors two to three teenagers at a time. For the last four years she has been a part of the “Power of 100 Women” for the Michigan Women’s Foundation.  She also volunteers for Girl Scouts at Camp Moxie, helping the girls work on their Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve.

Drake, formerly a Girl Scout herself, is one of the few women business owners in commercial real estate across the U.S. To achieve this designation, Drake had to articulate impressive business activity, background and values as well as illustrate major accomplishments, special skills and innovative approaches. Well known in the industry as a commercial realtor, Drake is focused on maintaining "true north" for her corporate clients.

Her reputation has been built on 20 years of commercial real estate experience and expertise in corporate and institutional workplace design, planning and project implementation. She has worked hard to succeed in a male-dominated industry. In addition to being in an elite group of 5 percent of the females practicing Commercial Real Estate, Drake has not only survived a major recession, she also found an opportunity to open her own firm.

Drake and all nominees will be honored at a cocktail celebration on March 25, 2015at DTE Energy Headquarters in Detroit at 5 p.m.
