SciFi4Me Covers Planet Comicon 2015

Local Online Genre Magazine Returns for Seventh Year in a Row
 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Feb. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- SciFi4Me.com, the online magazine covering the science fiction and fantasy genres, will once again be in attendance with cameras and microphones at Planet Comicon 2015.

A team of reporters will be at PCC all three days, March 13 – 15, and will be conducting interviews with celebrities, comic book writers, and artists throughout the weekend.

“As part of our approach to 2015, we’re going to have a much bigger presence at Planet Comicon this year,” says editor Jason P. Hunt, who also hosts the SciFi4Me TV program Week in Review. “Not only will we be getting the interviews, but we’ll also be posting quite a bit of photos to our Instagram stream and recording several of the panels and posting highlights to SciFi4Me TV.”

In 2009, less than a month after inception, SciFi4Me attended Planet Comicon for the first time. The magazine’s very first interview: Erin Gray, star of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Gray returns to Kansas City this year for her third visit.

Since then, SciFi4Me has attended numerous conventions, including Dallas Comic-Con, San Diego Comic-Con, Smallville Comicon, Osfest, Gl!tchcon, Wizard World, and Naka-Con. The magazine has interviewed dozens of celebrities including Ashely Eckstein and Tom Kane (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Sarah Douglas (Superman II, V), John de Lancie (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Walter Koenig (Star Trek, Babylon 5), Adrienne Barbeau (Swamp Thing), Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century), Cassidy Freeman (Smallville, Longmire), and Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who).

“This is a big year for us,” says Hunt. “We’re pulling out all the stops to make it our best year so far, and Planet Comicon has always been a great partner in helping us build our audience every year. We’re excited to be back again in 2015.”

Held at Kansas City’s Bartle Hall, Planet Comicon is one of the premiere science fiction and pop culture conventions in the Midwest, boasting attendance above 30,000. This year marks the event’s third in the Bartle Hall facility in downtown Kansas City, MO.
