Intracoastal Bank Educates During America Saves Week

PALM COAST, Fla. - Feb. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- As part of America Saves Week 2015, that runs February 23 – February 28, Intracoastal Bank is spreading the saving message, and urging the community to participate in America Saves Week.

“Only 51% of American’s have a savings plan with goals,” said Bruce Page, President/CEO of Intracoastal Bank. “The opportunity to educate the public during this week on how to create a savings plan and save automatically is another way Intracoastal Bank reaches out to help our community,” he added.

Intracoastal Bank offers automatic savings plans, and encourages saving in several ways, including educational videos on their website at http://www.intracoastalbank.net/. Clicking on the Consumer Education tab on the left hand side will take them to a range of slide shows, one of them teaches that financial experts suggest saving 10% of your gross income each month. Another idea is to have money automatically debited from your paycheck so it’s never ‘touched’ or seen before deposited into a savings account.

America Saves Week is coordinated by America Saves and the America Savings Education Council.  The Week is an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status.

Intracoastal Bank serves the Flagler and Volusia County areas and is a locally owned and operated financial institution.  The bank offers a full range of deposit and loan products tailored to meet the needs of customers and the community including retail and commercial loan products, mortgage loan origination, small business products and convenient 24-hour ATMs for customers and non-customers to use. The bank is a state charted commercial bank, member FDIC.  Intracoastal‘s 5-Star "superior" rating distinguishes the Bank as one of Florida’s strongest, safest financial institutions, according to BauerFinancial, Inc.  More corporate information and e-banking are available at www.intracoastalbank.net and they can be reached on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/intracoastalbank.
