The Photomender.com Remembers The Royal Newfoundland Regiment

A Labor of Love to Commemorate Participants of the Great War

TORONTO - Feb. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- To help commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War, ThePhotoMender.com is turning it's expertise in photo restoration and colorization to old and damaged photos of soldiers of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.

The PhotoMender.com, which is based out of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, has not been commissioned by anyone to understake this task nor are they receiving reimbursement of any kind. Owner Gerard Nash calls it a labor of love."We are combing the archives for photos in need of repair. We restore and  colorize them making every effort to be as historically accurate as possible. We then post them to our website and to all of our social media accounts."

Mr. Nash also stated that In addition to helping commemorate those who fought in the Great War, it provides the company with an opportunity to showcase their work.

The response thus far has been very positive and it is easy to see why. The restorative work breeds new life into these photos bringing out much more detail. The restored photos can be seen on the company website http://www.thephotomender.com or on their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/thephotomenders
