BUFFALO, N.Y. - Feb. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- The launch of this new service will help shippers and trucking companies to load their trucks effectively. http://www.bigtruckguide.com/phone-consultation/  We will explain what the regulations are and what you have to do to comply, while maximizing the payloads that you can haul.

Get help answering important questions such as:
- I have a truck in my yard right now.  How much can I load on it?
- What is the best truck to choose for the job?
- How much can I load on a 5 axle, 6 axle, quad trailer, etc?

What you need:
Information about your load:
- Weight of pieces
- Size of pieces
Information about equipment (if known)
- Flatbed, reefer, van trailer
- Size – length of trailer/s
- Number of Axles
- Sleeper truck / Daycab
- Tare weight of truck and tare axle weights (recommended)

What you will get:
One to two page report with recommendations specific to your question. The content of the report will be agreed upon during the phone consultation. For example, the report could contain information on:
- Loading the tractor trailer truck to be in compliance with weight regulations
- List of different trucks that can be utilized in your jurisdiction for your specific size of load, including 5 axle semi trucks, tridem trailers, quadruple axle trailers, etc.

How do we offer this service?
Semi Truck Weight regulations in the United States and Canada are a mix of federal regulations, like the Surface Transportation Assistance Act (STAA) of 1982, and the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) of 1991.  State laws are also relevant in some cases, giving shippers and transportation providers the opportunity to take advantage of higher weight limits for axles, gross weights and sometimes both.  Travelling on the National Network (the interstate system + other major highways) requires compliance with bridge laws, some states require compliance with federal bridge laws and yet other states have their own unique bridge laws.  These regulations are relevant when you are travelling far from the interstate highway system, or are looking to load a truck at heavier weights than 80,000 lbs.

Get help making sense of these regulations so that you can load heavier loads and operate your business more efficiently.  Call and speak with us about how to optimally load your trucks!
