SARASOTA, Fla. - Feb. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- A 1994 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III is one of the featured items to be auctioned off Saturday, February 28, at Sarasota Estate Auction, 6030 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida 34243.

Finished in Magnolia, the Rolls has appeared in numerous parades and has won awards in many shows. It took part in the long tradition of driving Basketball Hall of Fame inductees in enshrinement parades of Rolls-Royce motorcars. It has carried many of the basketball greats – including Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and the Globetrotters.

The owners, Dan and Pamela Schueler, purchased the car in Springfield, Massachusetts, home of the Basketball Hall of Fame. The car has been serviced continually since the factory warranty expired by John Robison of JE Robison Service in Springfield, one of the premier Rolls-Royce mechanics in the United States.

“This Rolls-Royce is in amazing condition," said Andrew Ford, owner of Sarasota Estate Auction with his wife, Elizabeth Lathrop Ford. "The engine compartment and the underside are as immaculate as the interior, and the burl dash and leather seats are flawless."

The auction also features numerous fine art and furniture items from multiple estates, including a 17th century Italian oil painting depicting the Madonna and Child titled "Adoration of Shepherds" and valued between $6,000 and $9,000; a 17th century tapestry of King Solomon valued between $3,500 and $5,000; a framed English oil painting of a bay-colored horse by Charles F. Davis, dated 1880 and valued between $1,200 and $2,400; a framed oil on board marine landscape signed by American artist George Joseph Koch (1884-1951), valued between $800 and $1,600; and an antique Famille porcelain plate signed with a seal mark and valued between $200 and $400.

The auction starts at noon and is open to the public. Prospective bidders may preview the offerings on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday before the auction from 10 a.m. to noon. Beer, wine and refreshments will be served all day Saturday.
