WASHINGTON - Feb. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- This innovative show, "HoodSmart: The Urban STEMulus Project," is an initiative geared towards encouraging youth in urban America to compete in STEM-related fields. Ateya says, "As the creator of this show, my vision is to shift the focus from the negative images we often see on reality television to highlighting and celebrating the creative genius of students growing up in urban communities across America."

After spending a great deal of her own money and resources, Ateya realizes that this project will require a village of believers. She truly believes that America is ready for responsible television. Her first challenge is to get the show funded for TV Pilot production. In an effort to prove that these are the kinds of programs that make a difference in our society she has launched an indiegogo campaign to raise $150,000 to make this vision a reality.

The show concept has received support from various celebrities including, Mint Condition's Stokley Williams, Actor and Activist Danny Glover, TV Producer/Director and former Director of the DC Office of Motion Picture and Television Development Pierre Bagley, Producer/Director and Executive Director of Arts Education, Los Angeles Unified School District, Rory Pullens.
