Fort Worth, TX – Just Between Friends (JBF) of Fort Worth, Texas’ largest children’s and maternity consignment sales event is once again hosting their popular semi-annual sale.  After the success of the fall event, the spring event is also dedicated to “saving the world one closet at a time.”  DFW Metroplex families are encouraged to bring their gently used children’s and maternity clothing, toys, and equipment to the JBF Fort Worth sale to turn their discards into cash.  Families are also encouraged to shop for their spring, summer, swim and sports equipment needs as a way to maximize their budgets while keeping still-useful items out of Metroplex landfills.

According to statics, Americans discard 68 pounds of clothes annually per capita while only recycling 10 pounds of clothing.  Of these items, 99% of them can be recycled.  Clothing makes up almost 5% of the total garbage in landfills.

Additionally as a key event for Metroplex families, Just Between Friends Fort Worth is also announcing a new partnership with Chosen Ones Adoptive and Foster Care for JBF’s Wall of Wishes.  This partnership provides for children and families during their foster care and adoption journeys.

The semi-annual sale features thousands of items that include name-brand and boutique children’s spring, summer, swim, and sports attire; baby equipment, electronics, and toys.

In addition to benefiting Chosen Ones Adoptive and Foster Care, a portion of the sale proceeds as well as unsold merchandise is donated to local charities,Community Enrichment Center’s Open Arms Program, Teen Lifelineand Fort Worth Metro.

For the “Wall of Wishes,” sale shoppers will be able to select cards off a wall that lists items that will be provided to client families of Chosen Ones.  Shoppers are able to fill bags provided by JBF at the sale to turn in when they finish shopping.  Shoppers are able to write words of encouragement to recipients to be included with the gifts they have purchased for them.

“Focusing on JBF Fort Worth’s theme of ‘Saving the World One Closet at a Time’ during our fall sale proved to be a tremendous success," said Joanie Morrison, Owner, Just Between Friends, Fort Worth. “Metroplex families really want to be a part of something that helps keep items out of landfills. Additionally, Just Between Friends, Fort Worthprovides a way for Metroplex families to be able to sell their gently used items to people who embrace sustainability.  It is such a win/win/win!  Families not only pass on the items they no longer need, they are able to make money at the same time. In turn, other families are standing by to purchase these items for use with their own families.  And this all allows them to shop and sell sustainably! Plus – what a reward for families to be able to outfit their families for the entire season at 50-90% less than retail pricing,” stated Morrison.

“Also, on Sunday, March 8th, JBF Fort Worth once again gives back by hosting our Family Fun Fest Free Indoor Carnival,” said Morrison. Families are able to come and spend the afternoon with us without spending a penny shopping.  There are carnival games, face painting, a bounce house, crafts, etc.  This is our way of thanking the community for the support of JBF Fort Worth!”
