CLEVELAND - Feb. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Midlife Empowerment, the solution-oriented online community for people who want to improve their incomes and work satisfaction, announced today that it will be hosting a free teleseminar on career change.  Switching Careers: A Master Class with Marc Miller will be held on March 2nd at 11AM Eastern Time.  Marc Miller, a career change expert and author of the book Repurpose Your Career, runs the site careerpivot.com.

“We’re all about helping people make big changes in their work lives,” said Hugh Taylor, founder of Midlife Empowerment.  “And, no one can talk about this like Marc. He’s one of the best out there for showing you what it takes to overcome the feeling of being overwhelmed at change.”

The free teleseminar is intended to offer listeners a proven approach to making a plan that’s unique to one’s personal needs and what one is best at.  The discussion will include ways to make small steps toward an ultimate career switching goal and how to navigate the sometimes tricky emotional terrain of switching careers.  All registrants will also receive a FREE GIFT of Midlife Empowerment's “Personal Reinvention Kit.”

About Midlife Empowerment

Midlife Empowerment was founded by Taylor after he survived a layoff in midlife.  His goal was to establish a community of caring thought leaders on the subject of personal reinvention. The site exists for the purpose of advancing M.E. – Midlife Empowerment – helping people in midlife and mid-career build better, more secure futures.   The community offers encouragement, ideas for changing one’s life,  practical advice, hope, and straight talk about getting real and putting oneself on a path to the highest earning potential.

About Marc Miller

Marc Miller’s career journey included 22 years at IBM, several thriving tech startups, a painful stint as a high school teacher, a gig raising funds for the Jewish Community Association of Austin and a near fatal bicycle accident that changed his perspective forever. Thirty years of wandering the proverbial career desert, often repeating the same mistakes over and over, taught him his most crucial lesson: Most people don’t really know what makes them happy at their core, what fulfills them. They pursue money, status, a skill set, all of which provide some level of satisfaction, but not contentment. They wind up feeling frustrated and trapped. Others have figured out what they need, but don’t know how to chart a course to get there.
