FREDERICK, Md. - Feb. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- On Saturday evening, February 28, 2015, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, come experience a remarkable hour of sight and sound as Randy "Windtalker" Motz presents The Windtalker Experience; an awe-inspiring multimedia show set to the breathtaking and haunting sounds of Native American flute. “Windtalker’s” distinctive style of contemporary Native American-style flute music blends flute with lush orchestration and Native percussion, weaving a musical tapestry that continues to entertain audiences everywhere.

Against a backdrop of dramatic photos of iconic landscapes from the Southwest, taken by his wife Georgia L. Harris, “Windtalker's” beautiful and creative compositions serve as a captivating soundtrack. The audience is taken on a soothing, sometimes playful, and always entertaining journey through the grandeur of these awe-inspiring locations, creating the perfect ambiance for the evening’s festivities.

Audiences throughout Maryland and Virginia acclaim the Windtalker Experience as mesmerizing, breathtaking, moving, hauntingly beautiful, profound, soothing, entertaining, educational, heartfelt, captivating, enchanting, vibrant, relaxing, exotic, and a performance that must be seen and heard.

For years, “Windtalker” has been delighting audiences with his special brand of music at festivals, state and national parks, coffee houses, wineries, senior living facilities, schools, churches, private parties and other intimate venues. He was also the guest performer for a moonlight tour held by the National Park Service at New Mexico's Pueblo Bonito ruins at Chaco Canyon National Historical Park and numerous songs from his latest CD, Canyon Whispers, can be heard on numerous internet radio stations, as well as on I-Tunes and Pandora.

As an advocate for Native Americans, “Windtalker” will donate a portion of the proceeds from this performance to “Futures for Children,” a highly-respected charity that provides educational and leadership opportunities for Native American children on reservations in the Southwest.

Says “Windtalker,” For years I have been searching for a way to put my passion for Native American people into action in a meaningful and enduring way. I am humbled and honored by this opportunity to support “Futures for Children’s” mission and vision by donating a portion of the revenue from my performances, including sales of CDs, DVDs and books. By supporting me and my music, audiences will be helping Native American children escape the cycle of poverty, drug and alcohol addiction, and teen suicides that are rampant on the reservations. This support will provide hope and a bright future through a quality education and leadership development. As the saying goes, “Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day. Teach him to fish, and he can eat for a lifetime.” By giving Native American children the education and leadership skills they need to succeed, they help not only themselves but ensure the future of their communities and the rich heritage of their tribal cultures.”

Following “Windtalker’s” performance, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm, the ACFF will screen three of the most popular films from their 2014 film festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

The “Audience Choice Award Winner,” DamNation, chronicles America’s history of dam construction and efforts to remove obsolete dams to allow rivers to come back to life. This compelling, informative, and entertaining film has received wide acclaim and multiple awards for excellence in documentary filmmaking. Following the film, there will be a discussion with Jim Thompson, Fish Passage Coordinator for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Service and Serena McClain, Director of River Restoration at American Rivers.

The 2014 “Student Award Winner,” We Are the Land, tells the story ofenvironmental activist Pauline Matt, who amidst the national controversy surrounding the potential dangers of ‘fracking,” stands alone to protect her native homeland, the Blackfeet Reservation of northern Montana.

The final film, Sticky, is a delightful animated short film that tells a positive Australian conservation success story, celebrating the persistence of life, the adventure and passion embedded in science, and the little creatures underfoot.

Tickets are just $7 for adults; $5 for seniors/students/military members and are available on the Weinberg’s website at http://www.weinbergcenter.org/8046/american-conservation-film-festival-best-of-fest-2/ or at the door.
