Variety’s “Top Comics to Watch” Lil Rel Invades Comix at Foxwoods

MASHANTUCKET, Conn. - Feb. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Comix at Foxwoods welcomes NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” semi-finalist and renowned stand-up act Lil Rel for a three-night, three-performance show starting Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8:00 p.m.

Milton "Lil Rel" Howery takes audiences inside his world of growing up on Chicago's West Side when he hits the stage. He introduces all of the characters that had a significant impact on his life - from his mother, father, uncle and even the neighborhood "hoodrat." Lil Rel’s character-style comedy continues to put those in attendance leaving in stiches. He tours the country leaving pieces of himself and his life on every stage and city he invades.

Lil Rel is perhaps best known as a semi-finalist on NBC's, “Last Comic Standing” and from his show-stopping performances on Comedy Central's “Russell Simmons Presents: Stand-Up at The El Rey,” “Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment” on Starz, and HBO’s, “Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy.”

Lil Rel has appeared as a round table guest on E’s, “Chelsea Lately” and has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy festivals in the world including, “Just For Laughs Festivals” in Montreal and Chicago, “South Africa Comedy Festival” and NBC’s, “Diversity Showcase,” which he is returned to host in 2013.

Lil Rel was also cast in the reboot of the Fox series, “In Living Color” spearheaded by the original creator Keenen Ivory Wayans. His CD, "I Know You Hear Me, But Are You Listening" was immensely popular and developed a cult following on iTunes. With all of this already under his belt, it is no surprise that Lil Rel was also named by Variety as one of 2012 Top 10 Comics to Watch. Additionally, his Comedy Central “Half Hour,” which aired Spring 2013 and is currently developing a sketch series for Comedy Central.

In 2014 Lil Rel appeared on BET's, “Comic View,” FOX's animated series, “Lucas Bros Moving Co,” Comedy Central's, “Comedy Underground with Dave Attell” and the recently renewed truTV Sketch show, “Friends of the People,” for which he also writes and executive produces.

Lil Rel will co-star alongside Jerrod Carmichael and David Alan Grier in the upcoming NBC comedy pilot, “Go Jerrod Go,” which is set to debut in 2015.
