Kirkland Dentistry Goes Paperless, Adopts CareCap Technology

In an effort to provide the best value to patients for the high-quality dental care they need, Kirkland Dentistry is teaming up with CareCap to provide patients with affordable payment options

KIRKLAND, Wash. - Feb. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Kirkland Dentistry now offers affordable in-house payment plans to its patients with the use of CareCap technology. The dentist office, which sees patients throughout the Seattle area, has also switched to paperless patient communications to keep prices down for the patient.

According to Co-Owner Michelle Richardson, CareCap, www.CareCap.com, is a company that manages patient payment plans for dental offices and gives their patients the ability to receive the dental care they need by paying over time. As a forward-minded dental practice that understands many patients can't afford to pay constantly-rising out-of-pocket medical and dental expenses in one lump sum, Kirkland Dentistry is adopting CareCap technology to make sure every patient can afford to get the treatment he or she needs while easing the burden on their patients' budget.

"It's difficult to help patients receive the care they need if each visit will cost them a significant amount of money -- which is where CareCap comes in," Richardson explains. "CareCap is an affordable alternative for our patients and our office. CareCap helps us keep the total cost of care down."

For example, if a patient needs to repair a broken tooth in a procedure that cost $1,000 and can't afford it, Kirkland Dentistry simply sets up an automatic, affordable CareCap payment plan for the patient.

"The thousand dollars will then be broken into a down payment and monthly payments that fit the patient's family budget; the money will automatically deduct from the patient's account and be transferred to us each month. It's just one way we help our patients," Richardson explains.

Kirkland Dentistry made the decision to go paperless in its communications with patients as a way to keep costs down as well, according to Richardson.

"At the beginning of the year, we switched from mailing patients' statements to using electronic invoicing, a feature of the CareCap technology," Richardson says. "With CareCap, we can email a statement online. Our patients simply click to pay. Everything is transacted electronically. We're all used to buying and paying online these days. Our dental office is staying with the times. It's just one of the ways we work to keep our prices down. So far, we haven't raised our fees in five years, even though wages, cost of materials, and rent goes up. We're just trying to do things in a smarter, more economical way."
