Happy Name Days for all SUZETTE'S, Suzys, Susannas's, from Miss-SUZETTE.com

NAME DAYS are often the memorial date, of the identity, of an ancient religious icon. These days, NAME DAY CELEBRATIONS, seems to differ, in date, with each religion, and in specific countries, not quite sure why...

TORONTO - Feb. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- It's always February 19th, and it's my NAME DAY.

And I'm the only one, who remembers it, it seems, and or even celebrates it, in CANADA.

Were I back in Hungary, born as Zsuzanna, then called Suzie, when we came to CANADA, and changed to "SUZETTE", cause I fell in love with that name in high-school, I think I would be getting some gifts, as other SUSANNA'S, around the globe today.

A name day is like the BIRTHDAY of your first name...

The Etymology and history of first names, is fascinating.

SUZETTE is the diminutive of SUSANNA, and it means lily, water lilly, graceful white lilly.  Claims its origin from Hebrew, and French.

Some Suzies, named in other languages, are:

Sawsan (Arabic), Susanna, Susannah (Biblical), Sousanna (Biblical Greek),Shoshannah (Biblical Hebrew), Susanna (Biblical Latin), Suzana (Croatian), Zuzana, Zuzanka, Zuzka (Czech), Susanne, Sanne, Susann (Danish), Susanna, Suzanne, Sanne (Dutch), Susanna, Suzanne, Sue, Sukie, Susan, Susie, Suzan, Suzanna, Suzi, Suzie, Suzy, Zanna (English), Susanna (Finnish), Susanne, Susann, Suse, Susi (German), Shoshana, Shoshannah, (Hebrew), Zsuzsanna, Zsasza, Zsuzsa, Zsuszi (Hungarian), Susanna (Italian), Zuzanna (Latvian), Suzana (Macedonian), Huhana (Maori), Susanne, Susann (Norwegian), Zuzanna, Zula, Zuza, Zuzia (Polish), Susana (Portuguese), Suzana (Portuguese (Brazilian)), Susanna, Syuzanna (Russian), Suzana (Serbian), Zuzana, Zuza, Zuzanka, Zuzka (Slovak), Suzana (Slovene), Susana, Susanita (Spanish), Susanna, Susanne, Sanna, Susann (Swedish).

Since I'm in Canada, with a Hungarian name, Zsuzsika, but having it Canadianized, Susie, then business-ized, to  "Miss-SUZETTE.com", I am still often mistaken for a French, Mademoiselle.

To my shock & surprise, it actually means little Suzy in French...but sounds so sophisticated in English.  Miss SUZETTE.  Don't you think?

As a writer, and Humour & Comedy Instructor, it is an easy FUN name to remember, especially when rhymed with Crepe Suzette's, or I'm your pet...

I first heard the name SUZETTE, on a Mike Hammer TV episode, (did it belong to an attractive French maid?), in the late 1950's...fell in love with it, and became a SUZETTE.  Then Miss SUZETTE, and now, thanks to the Internet;  Miss-SUZETTE.com

Do you know when you're name day is?

Could be extra gifts...

Happy SU...days!
