SOLitude Lake Management Wins Awards for Excellence in Water Quality Treatment

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Feb. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the Eastern United States, won five “Seeing is Believing” awards from SePRO Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of high quality, environmentally responsible solutions for aquatic plant management. These awards recognize the highest standard of excellence in water quality treatment for lakes, ponds, stormwater basins or other standing waterbodies that have demonstrated the effectiveness of SePRO products in improving these aquatic ecosystems.

SOLitude Lake Management received these awards at the 2014 SePRO Preferred Applicator Seminar this past December at the Four Seasons Maui in Wailea, Hawaii. Each award submission consisted of a case study highlighting a project with before and after photos and a detailed treatment summary for the waterbody including reason for treatment and chosen course of action, treatment and waterbody specifics, weather conditions, map of the waterbody or wetland and treatment area, water quality, end user satisfaction, and special circumstances.

Winning submissions were by the following SOLitude team members:

Kyle Finerfrock, Environmental Scientist, for the successful treatment of duckweed and watermeal in a .6 acre pond at a The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Shannon Junior, Aquatic Ecologist, for the successful treating of watershield, duckweed, and coontail in a .75 acre privately owned farm pond in Gordonsville, Virginia and the successful treatment of filamentous algae (pithophora) in a 4.65 acre privately owned farm pond in Purcellville, Virginia.

Dustin Kennedy, Aquatic Biologist, for the successful treatment of pithophora algae in a 1 acre condominium community’s stormwater pond in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Brent Weber, Environmental Scientist, for the successful treatment of filamentous algae and duckweed in a 3 acre pond owned by a private country club in Glen Allen, Virginia.
