STEAM Camp For Middle School Girls Launches Indiegogo Campaign

OAKLAND, Calif. - March 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The STEAM Camp for Middle School Girls takes place for one week from April 6-10, 2015 during Middle school vacation at Tech Liminal, the original technology hotspot and salon in Downtown Oakland, CA. The camp is based on a smart trend: "from STEM to STEAM" which incorporates Art & Design into teaching the high-demand skills of Science, Tech, Engineering, and Math. Campers get a direct experience of the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of using tech in the real world as well as exposure to women working in technical fields and who are involved with implementing technology and innovation.

About STEAM Camp
STEAM Girls Camp is an arts and technology summer camp developed by Community Bridge Video and Tech Liminal. The camp takes place in a girls-only area at Tech Liminal, a female owned technology salon in downtown Oakland. Featuring hands-on activities, middle schoolers are encouraged to pursue interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.

Make wearable electronics to light up clothing.
Explore the mathematics of origami.
Creative writing and doodling for the website blog.
