Follow on Google News | Show Me Your Paradise Campaign Last CallAs Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree’s Show Me Your Paradise campaign draws to a close at the end of this month, it is reminding all budding and professional film makers and photographers to be quick to get their entries in.
By: strategic PR “We want to see the region through the eyes of locals and holiday makers, what they love about it and to glimpse how it makes them feel. For them to share their idea of paradise from the Douglas region. “The number of stills has exceeded our hopes, however we welcome more entries. The quality of films submitted has been very high with reef and adventuring the key themes to date.” Ms Bennett believed the Show Me Your Paradise campaign would build on TPDD’s other successful domestic campaigns including Discover Paradise, which is a targeted promotional campaign in key metro markets such as Melbourne and Sydney. “This is about sharing our paradise with the rest of Australia and internationally. We are excited by the quality of entries coming through.” She said if the entrant had a knack for videography or photography, had some fantastic footage from their experiences in the region including Port Douglas, Mossman and Daintree, then she urged them to enter. Ideas could include the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, off road exploring, outdoor adventure, Indigenous culture, nature and wildlife, beaches, and finally food, wine and the Far North’s tropical lifestyle. Prizes include $3000 for the winning video and $1000 for the winning photographer. Videographers need to supply a one minute clip that features what they love about paradise. Photographers can submit up to five of their very best images that capture their paradise. To enter, complete the online entry form, submit the link to the video, and send high res images and the video to TPDD at www.visitportdouglasdaintree.com.au/ The winner will be announced on March 9, 2015. Ms Bennett urged those interested to read the full terms and conditions online at www.visitportdouglasdaintree.com. For more information contact +61 7 4099 4588. End
