Donation Ensures Low-Income Residents can File Taxes on Time

The Electronic Recycling Association and Vancouver-West End MLA present a donation of ten refurbished computers to Gordon Neighbourhood House

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Feb. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), along with Vancouver-West End MLA Spencer Chandra Herbert, will be presenting ten laptops to Gordon Neighbourhood House (GNH) to support their programs.

“It’s great to have Chandra Herbert’s support,” says Bojan Paduh, founder and president of the ERA. “When a respected public official gets behind something it really sets an example for the community, it highlights the worthiness of our cause and the necessity of continued community support to keep our donation programs going.”

“Thank you to the Electronic Recycling Association and Gordon Neighbourhood House for working together to help West Enders get access to computers, the internet, and all the programs that require both,” says Chandra Herbert. “There is a real need, and I know this donation will help many in our community for years to come.”

Paul Taylor, executive director of GNH, will be accepting the donation on behalf of GNH. He notes that “social profits often struggle to meet their technology needs. Donations from the Electronic Recycling Association go a long way in helping us to do that. The laptops we receive will be used as part of our annual income tax filing program for low-income residents of our community. They allow us to provide this service to even more people that we normally would. We are grateful for the support!"

The ERA and Chandra Herbert will deliver the laptops to GNH on February 20, 2015.
