Montserrat College of Art Hosts Annual Artrageous!29 Auction Party March 28

BEVERLY, Mass. - Feb. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Montserrat College of Art will host Artrageous!29, its annual Auction Party, on Saturday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at 20 Cherry Hill Drive, Danvers, MA. auction.montserrat.edu/

Artrageous! has become the spring art event on the North Shore. Last year’s auction sold out with more than 1,000 guests. The night raised $432,000 to support critically needed financial aid that makes it possible for many Montserrat students to stay in school to earn their education.

Artrageous! is big fun! In addition to amazing live and silent auctions, live music and libations by Capers Catering, guests will see Montserrat’s accomplished students creating artworkslive in Art-In-The-Moment stations. The auctions feature more than 250 artworks and items donated by established and emerging artists as well as members of the Montserrat community. This year’s works include paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture and more for a wide range of budgets.

The 2015 Honorary Chair is Beverly native Jack Barnes, President and CEO of People’s United Bank. The Featured Artist is another North Shore native, internationally known artist Bill Thompson. People’s United Bank is the presenting sponsor. Montserrat College of Art is a small, private, residential college of visual art and design, founded in 1970, by artists, for artists, educating the creative problem solvers of tomorrow.
