Paw it Forward at Fridays for Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Feb. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV (February 18, 2015) – Paw it Forward has teamed up with TGI Fridays™ West Sahara location for a monthly benefit night to support Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas and fund their new adoption center. The first benefit night will take place on March 1st, 2015 from 3pm to 9pm at 4570 West Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89102. Leashed, vaccinated, well behaved dogs are welcome to join their owners for dinner on the patio.

Paw it Forward is a movement inspired by Kelly McMahon's service dog, Pele. He was an amazing dog that not only performed his service dog duties, but also helped rehabilitate abused shelter animals, helped to teach children the difference between service and therapy dogs, visited the sick, and much more. "When Pele passed away, I knew that I wanted to do something to continue his good work and affect change in the animal community," said Paw it Forward founder Sheryl Greenblatt. "Hearts Alive is doing amazing work, and we are proud to support them with a monthly event at TGI Fridays™."

Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. Through a variety of programs such as Kendall's Kupboard, a pet food pantry, and Solutions over Surrenders which gives pet owners access to resources like training, financial assistance, and more, Hearts Alive aims to keep pets in their original homes whenever possible. In early spring, they will open an adoption center so that potential families have a place to meet rescued animals currently in foster homes. "We are so grateful for this opportunity at TGI Fridays™," said Christy Stevens, founder of Hearts Alive Village. "Our organization is funded entirely by donations from the community. These benefit nights will allow us to save so many more lives."

When patrons present the flier at the Sahara location, TGI Fridays™ will donate 20% of the guest check (excluding alcohol) to Hearts Alive Village. "It is so important for us to give back to the communities we serve. Animals enrich our lives and we are happy to partner with Hearts Alive to  help them carry out their mission," said Chris Thompson, General Manager of TGI Fridays™. Owners are encouraged to bring their leashed, vaccinated, well behaved dogs to dine with them on the patio.
