Shopa Nets $11m Series A Investment From Octopus and Notion

Industry-changing social commerce start-up set to revolutionise e-tail landscape

LONDON - Feb. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- London, February 18, 2015: Shopa (www.shopa.com), the next-generation social shopping site where customers can discover, share and buy products they love, is set to revolutionise the current e-tail sector following a significant Series A round.[1]

The $11m funding, one of the largest Series A investments ever made into a UK start-up, comes from renowned UK venture capital firms Octopus Investments (which backed Zoopla, YPlan and SwiftKey) and Notion Capital (which funded Shutl and Duedil). It means the London headquartered business can now quickly roll out its ground-breaking social shopping technology into China and India after launching in the UK and US.
