San Diego Jazz Songstress Daneen Wilburn to Headline CBI Spring Jazz Benefit Concert

SAN DIEGO - Feb. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Born and raised in San Diego, CA Daneen Wilburn's music is rooted in gospel, jazz, and R&B that began at an early age singing in the family band. Her career has spanned more than two decades. Daneen’s body of work includes guest collaborations and a steady stream of unforgettable live performances with several Grammy Award Winning producers and musicians including Kamau Kenyatta, Kevin Flournoy, Clarence McDonald, and The Braxton Brothers just to name a few. She has performed with a variety of artist like legendary gospel singer Edwin Hawkins early in her career. She is in demand singing with national bands, choirs, and performing in front of sold-out crowds.

Daneen is no stranger to performing to large audiences. Last year she sang "Amazing Grace" at the Tony Gwynn Memorial Tribute at Petco Park home of the San Diego Padres before a crowd of over 25,0000. She gave a memorable and emotional heartfelt rendition of that gospel hymn in remembrance of Tony Gwynn "Mr. Padre" and Hall of Fame baseball player. Some of baseball’s greatest names were present to include Commissioner of Baseball Bud Selig, Reggie Jackson, Steve Garvey, Trevor Hoffman, and Joe Torre. Famed sports announcers, Dick Enberg, Bob Costas, and the Gwynn family.
