Follow on Google News | The New York City Leadership Center Continues Growth with an Eye on Global CitiesThe New York City Leadership Center (The NYCLC) has expanded its influence over the past year and recently solidified its commitment to global initiatives with the hiring of Jim Runyan as president of global expansion.

The gospel movements fostered by the annual Movement Day (http://www.movementday.com/) The NYCLC founder & CEO, Dr. Mac Pier states, “We are very pleased to have Jim join our executive team. He brings an extensive ministry and business background and a passion for spreading the good news of the Gospel.” Jim most recently served as senior vice president of client service for Mission Advancement, a consulting firm serving the non-profit sector. Prior to this, he joined RSI as a church stewardship consultant in 1988. Jim led capital campaigns and developed strategy and program materials for many churches and organizations, including Willow Creek Community Church, The West Ohio Annual Conference, and the Archdioceses of Indianapolis and Chicago. Serving as a senior vice president, he co-created the RSI Institutional division to provide major gift consulting to faith-based non-profits. While at RSI, Jim began work with Mac Pier, then president of Concerts of Prayer Greater New York, to co-architect what is now The NYCLC. Jim has served as chairman of the board of directors of The NYCLC since its inception in 2007. Jim has also served as vice president of the Acts Satellite Network, which was a part of the Radio and Television Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. He began his career as a minister of music in Southern Baptist churches and is an accomplished composer of several published choral anthems. Pier also comments about Runyan, “His strategic approach to helping cities grasp the vital need for collaboration will enable more Christian communities and leaders to work in tandem, helping to bring positive transformation.” Jim lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife, Marion.
