Follow on Google News | National Experts to Address Cardiovascular Disease Prevention 13th Annual International SymposiumMedical practitioners will hear answers to patient questions Feb. 19-22 in Miami Beach
By: Baptist Health South Florida “It’s clear that a key strategy for heart attack and stroke goes back to the old adage that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It’s easier to prevent a heart attack and stroke than to repair the damage after a cardiovascular event has happened,” said Arturo Fridman, M.D., medical director of Continuing Medical Education for Baptist Health South Florida, which is host of the symposium. “We have gathered the Who’s Who in cardiovascular disease prevention to present research that will help medical practitioners to answer key questions asked by patients and address why there is a need for patients to be consistently assessed for risk factors for proper diagnosis and medical management for a healthy life,” Dr. Fridman said. Experts will present a range of cardiovascular disease (CVD) issues. The symposium invites cardiologists, general internists, family physicians, endocrinologists, psychiatrists and psychologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, dieticians and healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
