Introducing BrainCandy: Your Digital Guide To Living Better And Working Smarter

BrainCandy is a series of 60 second videos, which explain the hidden features of everyday platforms, as well as little-known tech tips, tricks and hacks to help digital professionals live better and work smarter.

NEW YORK - Feb. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Crowdcentric Media, the organization behind Social Media Week, one of the world’s largest conferences on emerging trends in technology and social media, has announced the launch of a new video series called BrainCandy.

BrainCandy is a series of 60 second videos, which explain the hidden features of everyday platforms, as well as little-known tech tips, tricks and hacks to help digital professionals live better and work smarter.

BrainCandy addresses two key challenges.  First, today’s busy professionals have little time to learn how to best use the latest technologies.  Second, tech companies are eager for new and existing users to spend more time engaged with their products, except most use less than 5% of the features available to them.

“Our continuing mission is to help people advance their understanding of how to communicate more effectively using digital technology.  We bring together more than 70k digital professionals each year through the Social Media Week conferences,so BrainCandy is a natural extension of what we have been doing since we first started back in 2009” said Toby Daniels, CEO of Crowdcentric and Founder of Social Media Week.

According to Crowdcentric, BrainCandy is the product of 6 months of data analysis of over 2k individual pieces of published content. Short-form and tactical content greatly outperformed all other editorial features. Further, with the 43% global growth of online video consumption in the past year, 60 second videos are the best format to deliver this kind of tactical content.

As part of the launch Crowdcentric will publish an initial batch of twenty videos including “Saving Articles on Facebook”, “Create Stories Using Snapchat”, “Maximize Your Battery Life On an iOS or Android Device”, “Manage Multiple Social Media Accounts with Buffer”. Each week Crowdcentric will release five new videos, which will be distributed through a weekly BrainCandy newsletter, on YouTube and Facebook and through socialmediaweek.org.

In the coming months Crowdcentric will also begin releasing multi-language versions of the BrainCandy videos.
