DALLAS - Feb. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Have you seen the “East Dallas Is…” (https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=790790747659111&id=731091043629082) phrase around town yet? Wondering what  the #EastDallasIs buzz is all about? Here’s the scoop – the first phase of the “East Dallas Is” social media campaign recently launched and seeks to rally the entire community around enhancing the value of living in, doing business in, spending money in and playing in the East Dallas community. The campaign is a partnership between Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce (http://www.eastdallaschamber.com/), White Rock Partnership (http://pittmandavidj.wix.com/white-rock-partners), neighborhood organizations across the East Dallas community and several neighborhood associations.  The public is encouraged to join these community partners in the #EastDallasIs fun as the countdown begins, leading up to the big reveal in March!

“In planning for the future of East Dallas, we believe that drawing recognition toward the area will not only bring greater traffic to local businesses, but it will also assist with enhancing our top-notch schools, maintaining strong property values, and bring an increased awareness of our eclectic, diverse community,” said Darlene Ellison, chairwoman of the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce and a native of East Dallas. “Over the years our great city and the East Dallas area in general has seen continuous growth, and this campaign aims to build on the momentum, showcasing our community’s special and unique attributes.”

The community can participate in the “East Dallas Is…” project in a number of ways! Lee Elementary, and you’ll see the fence filled with bright blue cups proudly declaring the phrase: “East Dallas Is…” Lakewood Elementary is showing its East Dallas pride and has the “East Dallas Is…” phrase proudly displayed on its fence off Wendover Rd.

“We are excited to have the community partnership of countless organizations and businesses in the area, including Comerica Bank, C.C.
