FARNBOROUGH, U.K. - Feb. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- February, 16, 2015: CRALEY group announced it has now obtained the NSF/ANSI 61 certification for their patented Atlantis Hydrotec D25 solution. Coupled with the existing WRAS approval, this ensures that the D series technology is certified for use in most of the countries around the world.

Atlantis Hydrotec is a simple “pipe in a pipe” solution that provides a conduit to a building by installing a micro-bore water pipe within the existing water supply infrastructure that feeds a property. Once the micro-bore pipe is in situ, a communications cable can be safely installed without having any adverse effect on the existing water supply. The micro-bore pipe is made out of the same materials as the existing fresh water supply pipe system.

The NSF/ANSI 61 standard was developed to establish the exacting requirements for the control of human health effects from products that contact drinking water. This approval certifies the Atlantis Hydrotec D series solution as safe for use within potable water; The Atlantis Hydrotec solution is designed for FTTx connectivity to homes, MDUs and gated communities.

Andy Harris, CEO at CRALEY Group, said “We are delighted that the Atlantis Hydrotec D series solution now has been certified to the stringent NSF/ANSI 61 standards. Furthermore, this is an internationally recognised standard and it is an endorsement of the diligence that goes into the design and quality of our products. We already hold full WRAS approval and the combination of this with the NSF/ANSI 61 certification means that our Atlantis Hydrotec solution can be accepted for use on a global basis. We are confident that this will help to accelerate the adoption of what is an innovative and cost-effective alternative to traditional FTTx solutions”.
