BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Feb. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- As the calendar turns towards August, the 2015 Bloomsburg Nationals presented by PPG will be here before you know it!  This year’s show runs August 14-16 and hosts three days of classic cars, swap meet, car corral, automotive thrills, great fair food and family fun.  In addition, the event continues to host great music on the Quaker Steak and Lube stage Friday and Saturday evening.  This year’s show welcomes back a returning and very popular act along with a regional act that is new to the event.  Cruise to Bloomsburg to enjoy Flamin’ Dick and the Hot Rods as well as the Skyla Burrell Blues Band this summer!

The Flamin' Dick group is a Reading, Pennsylvania-based band specializing in 50's and 60's Rock-n-Roll.  They consider themselves a party band and are well-versed in a wide array of music from 1955 to 1968, the "The Golden Years of Rock-n-Roll."  This is the third consecutive year they’ve played Bloomsburg and continue to return to the event due to popular demand.  Guests can expect toe-tapping excitement that will leave them standing, clapping and dancing along with what is historically a three-hour set.  The set takes place Saturday the 15th, immediately following the Demolition Derby.

Joining Flamin’ Dick and the Hot Rods and kick starting the musical fun on Friday the 14th will be the Skyla Burrell Blues Band.  The Skyla Burrell Band is a full-time, hardworking, traveling blues band known for their high-energy electric blues. Onstage and on record, they play 100% original material — singer/guitarist Skyla Burrell and co-founder/guitarist Mark Tomlinson share songwriting credits. For BLUES SCARS, their fifth album, and their first with the VizzTone label group, Skyla and the band brought their high energy style into the studio for a 15-song set of all-new original material.  Skyla and the band take the stage starting at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Both shows are free with paid admission to the Bloomsburg Nationals, an event similar to those produced at America's Automotive Hometown, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  The weekend features cars, trucks and bikes of all makes, models, style and era.  Daily tickets are $10 for an adult with children 12 and under admitted free.  A three-day pass for just $20 saves a full day’s admission.  In addition to the live music, there are special displays, a Fun Field with awards, a $1,000 prize issued to one lucky Fun Field registrant, a great swap meet and car corral, tasty fair-style food, crafts and family excitement.  Additional aspects are being planned too.  Ultimately, all activities will be announced via the Bloomsburg Nationals Facebook page and show-specific page of www.CarlisleEvents.com.  For registration and ticket information, enthusiasts are encouraged to call 717-243-7855.
