Follow on Google News | Blooming Hope Honors Miami Veterans For Valentine’s DayBlooming Hope volunteering outreach program will be distributing flower bouquets to hospitalized veterans for Valentine's Day during the National Salute to Veterans event.
By: Blooming Hope by The Gems Group The celebration begins at 9:30 a.m., with special appearances by several local celebrities, who will also show their appreciation to the veterans and their families. During their visit, Blooming Hope volunteers will present a handcrafted bouquet and a greeting card to over 300 of the hospitalized veterans. In showing their love and gratitude to our nations heroes, Blooming Hope is encouraging the message of “Blooming it Forward,” which means growing and passing on the idea of community involvement and volunteering. ‘”It isn’t that people don’t want to volunteer,” said Bonnie Armellin, founder of Blooming Hope. “It’ Blooming Hope was founded in 2008 as a volunteer outreach program that provides fresh flowers and denotable items to brings smiles to people that need it the most. Especially people living with terminal illnesses, seniors in assisted living facilities, hospitalized veterans, homeless and those that need it most. Blooming Hope has also participated and donated to --more-- the American Cancer Relay for Life, Project Elf, provided flowers for teacher appreciation events, as well as numerous nursing homes in both South Florida and California.
