Blooming Hope Honors Miami Veterans For Valentine’s Day

MIAMI - Feb. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Miami, FL (February 13, 2015) - Join Blooming Hope on Friday, February 13, 2015, as they celebrate National Salute to Veteran Patients by presenting hundreds of flower bouquets to hospitalized veterans at the Miami VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16^th St., Miami, FL 33125.

The celebration begins at 9:30 a.m., with special appearances by several local celebrities, who will also show their appreciation to the veterans and their families.

During their visit, Blooming Hope volunteers will present a handcrafted bouquet and a greeting card to over 300 of the hospitalized veterans.  In showing their love and gratitude to our nations heroes, Blooming Hope is encouraging the message of “Blooming it Forward,” which means growing and passing on the idea of community involvement and volunteering.

‘”It isn’t that people don’t want to volunteer,” said Bonnie Armellin, founder of Blooming Hope.  “It’s that they don’t know how or where to.  Our goal is to create awareness of volunteer opportunities with flowers like this one for more people to help those that can’t help themselves,” Armellin added.

Blooming Hope was founded in 2008 as a volunteer outreach program that provides fresh flowers and denotable items to brings smiles to people that need it the most. Especially people living with terminal illnesses, seniors in assisted living facilities, hospitalized veterans, homeless and those that need it most.
