Denali Academy Announces Spring 2015 Dates for Strategic Procurement Training and Development

Denali specialized training modules are designed to help procurement teams achieve breakthrough value

PITTSBURGH - Feb. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Denali Academy announced today its Spring 2015 training dates for procurement teams and professionals. Its next Academy training sessions are scheduled for the West Coast: Bellevue (Seattle), WA, April 14 through 16; and the East Coast: Pittsburgh, PA, April 28 through April 30.

Denali Academy’s holistic and modular training program is designed to help procurement professionals shift their skill-sets from tactical to strategic. Its training focuses on stakeholder management and soft skills that complement core procurement methodologies to better drive value throughout the organization.

“Denali Academy addresses a specific need within the procurement industry to bring sourcing organizations and professionals the skillsets required to take them to the next level,” said Alpar Kamber, Managing Partner of Denali Group. “Traditional training programs aren’t designed to help procurement teams transition from serving a tactical function to becoming a strategic partner. To effectively expand their skill-sets, a team accustomed to functioning tactically needs training that focuses on mindset shifts and relates to their daily environment. Denali Academy has been designed for this important role.”

Denali Academy offers a four-part delivery model that includes applied training where participants are able to apply the instruction in a variety of ways.

“Our exercises utilize hands-on templates that participants can use in their day-to-day work,” said Susanne Wrage, architect and lead Denali Academy. “Along with templates for the sourcing process, our online Academy combines video training modules and step-by-step guidance, as well as category-specific playbooks for approximately 100 categories. Our training sessions are flexible, and modules can be combined as needed. Modules can focus on process, soft skills, or analysis and techniques that create a well-rounded curriculum. Best of all, Denali Academy offerings are affordable.”

Denali Academy training can be tailored to your organization’s specific needs, or individuals can attend public course offerings, including:

Category Management Foundation A 3-day training that employs hands-on methods—supported by exercises and case studies—that are designed to teach critical methodologies, such as category management process, opportunity assessment, requirements analysis, and total cost of ownership. It also addresses vital soft skills such as stakeholder management.

Category Management Excellence A 2-day course that builds on the Category Management Foundation class. Participants gain more depth by applying category management skills in their own categories and presenting results to procurement leadership. They round out the applied learning with Denali Academy’s proprietary and interactive category management game.

Public training sessions are scheduled regularly in Denali Group’s Seattle and Pittsburgh offices and registration is limited. Click here (http://denaliusa.com/academy/register/) for dates and locations. (http://denaliusa.com/academy/register)
