United Parcel Service (UPS) Driver from Austin, Texas Wins 2014 Shopping Spree Dream Giveaway®!

GRAVETTE, Ark. - Feb. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- The 2014 Shopping Spree Dream Giveaway®, a nationwide drawing sponsored by New Beginning Children’s Homes, ended on December 30, 2014. Arnold Sawyer, from Austin, Texas, was the grand-prize winner.

Mr. Sawyer was awarded a 2014 Cadillac SRX luxury-crossover vehicle, a $50,000 VISA gift card, and a four-night stay at Mall of America for him and three guests. He received $30,000 to help pay the federal withholding requirement for taxes.

Mr. Sawyer entered the 2014 Shopping Spree Dream Giveaway on June 24, 2014, by making a $140 tax-deductible donation. “I decided to spread my money across all the giveaways,” he said. “It ended up being a good strategy.”

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, he received news via telephone that he had won the 2014 Shopping Spree Dream Giveaway. “I was in shock,” he said. “I immediately told my boss, some of my coworkers, and my mom and nobody thought this was for real.”

He accepted the prize package at the award ceremony on Friday, February 6, 2015, in Clearwater, Florida.

Mr. Sawyer is a UPS driver who enjoys fishing, going to motorsport races, and wrenching on his 1957 Ford F-100.

The winner had this to say to the people who still don’t believe this is for real, “You’re wrong. I’m living proof this is for real!”

New Beginning Children’s Homes (NBCH) is a 501(c) 3 provider of family-style long-term residential care with a mission to provide foster children a safe and faith-centered family atmosphere where they can heal, grow, and be loved while working through difficult life issues. In addition to the funding they received, NBCH provided grants to several worthwhile charities, including Disabled American Veterans, National Guard Educational Foundation, National Association of Christian Churches, Smile Network International, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.
