FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Feb. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- You can learn how to write and edit a short story at the next workshop planned by members of the Writers Resource Center (WRC).  Participants will be led through exercises that help them develop their story from concept to finished manuscript.   The session, a first in a series of seminars on the topic, will be facilitated by author Sheila Keller.  The meeting will take place on Saturday, February 14th from 10 am to 12 noon at 1745 Enterprise Drive, Fairfield, room 113.  Admission is free for members and $10 for non-members.  Complementary refreshments will be served.  For more information please call 707-290-5390 or visit the group’s website at www.writersresourcecenter.net.

“Our goal during this, and other meetings that we have planned, is to prepare writers to get their work published as individual authors and as part of anthologies,” says WRC President Janie P. Bess.

All attendees should bring their own writing supplies (paper and pens) or laptops or other electronic devices and be ready to write.

Annual Membership Drive Continues

The group is currently conducting its annual membership drive and will have applications available at the meeting.  The yearly fee is only $50.  Benefits include free admission to monthly sessions; discounts for conferences and classes; and a chance to help guide the Center’s activities. For more information or to sign-up, please visit the group’s website at www.writersresourcecenter.net.
