ROCKFORD, Ill. - Feb. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Rockford resident and disabled activist C.J. Campbell has authored a book scheduled to launch February 28th, 2015. "The Zen of Beard Trimming": Stories of Punk Rock, Poverty, and the Search for Peace,î published by Zombie Logic Press, will be unveiled at a book signing open to the public 2/28/15 at 7:00pm at Conveyer, 317 West Jefferson St. Rockford, IL.

C.J. struggles with Cerebral Palsy, living in poverty, and is most notable for his highly-publicized walk of 75 miles from Rockford to Evanston in 2012.  His book details seven years of travels in search of a place to realize his goal of being a pastor. Zombie Logic Press says: ìItís punk rock meets Christian Evangelism meets Scandanavian models meets a mismatched cast of unlikely characters and scenarios in a fearless, brutally honest chronicle of the time-honored search for meaning, love, peace, an apartment, food, (and a microphone that works.)

The book signing will feature a night of performances with Sue Stephens of WNIJ hosting the event, a special storytelling set by C.J. Campbell, musical guests; Hymen Moments (all-female Misfits cover band,) Derek Luttrell, and DJ DAS.
