Ben Schaffer Cancer Institute Receives Prestigious Accreditation

LODI, Calif. - Feb. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Ben Schaffer Cancer Institute, a 21^st Century Oncology affiliate, is proud to announce that they have earned the prestigious American College of Radiology (ACR) Accreditation.

The ACR accreditation is only given to facilities that have passed the strict guidelines for third party, impartial peer review and evaluation of patient care. Additionally, quality control and assessment are provided for personnel, equipment, treatment planning and treatment records.

Ben Schaffer Cancer Institute earned this accreditation through a rigorous application process. This includes submission of facility treatment and equipment information, staffing levels and qualifications, and physics quality assurance documentation. Next, a site survey is scheduled and the ACR reviews at least 10 cases during the site visit.

The Ben Schaffer Cancer Institute will hold the ACR Accreditation through January 2018.
