NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Feb. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- With everything from EDM flavors to Bossa Nova beats, Worldwide Groove Corporation's "Standard Chill" is a compilation of all but one of their electronic reinventions of famous jazz standards.  Their never before released track "Our Love Is Here to Stay" features a playful vocal performance by up and coming pop artist Daniella Mason over a chilled house beat and light breezy synths. Mason is only one of several guest singers on this project, others include Melinda Doolittle, Missi Hale, Ingrid DuMosch, Fleming McWilliams, and Kenya Evelyn.

"I absolutely love the collection of featured vocalists on this album," says Ellen Tift, songwriter and producer for Worldwide Groove Corporation. "Daniella as an artist is a fantastic talent, and Fleming McWilliams has such a whimsy when she sings.  Ingrid DuMosch has a tone like butter, and Missi Hale is one of the most skilled vocalists I've ever known." In addition to guest singers, Worldwide Groove Corporation also made use of French rapper Ventse on their version of the famous song "Fever." His smoking hot French rap combined with Missi Hales sultry vocal delivery make that track a memorable rendition. With track elements ranging from fun and offbeat organ riffs to dark and heavy grooves, Worldwide Groove Corporation took license to restyle legendary songs like My Funny Valentine, Besame Mucho, Angel Eyes, Mas Que Nada, Tangerine, and Summertime* in their own notable way.

"We were originally going to only release "Our Love Is Here to Stay" as a single for Valentine's Day," says Kurt Goebel, producer and programmer for Worldwide Groove Corporation," but it seemed like a good opportunity to put all of our jazz standard remakes onto one release."  Some of the tracks date back to 2005 when Worldwide Groove Corporation first emerged onto the downtempo scene as electronic artists with a partial release which later became their full album "Chillodesiac Lounge" in 2007.  This record garnered WGC national airplay on terrestrial and satellite radio, landing them in the #1 spot for several months on the XM Chill station with their original instrumental track Smoke & Mirrors. They also licensed several tracks to compilations in Europe and the U.S. "We consider this release to be special because it not only compiles the remakes that put us on the map with radio, but it is a time capsule of our work from when we first set out as electronic artists.  It all started with My Funny Valentine," reflects Tift.

The Standard Chill album is the eighth consecutive monthly release for Worldwide Groove Corporation's "Year of the Groove", where they are putting out one new music release a month for a year. This bold venture began in July 2014 and has landed them on social media campaigns for organizations like Oregon Right to Know during the November 2014 elections, and onto Huffington Post for their Supermodel Astronaut Challenge, a part of their October 2014 release.

Through all of the Year of the Groove releases, Worldwide Groove Corporation also continue to do regular music production work for other clients, the foundational portion of their business.  Their music has been used on advertisements for major brands such as Samsung and Ford, ads for network TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy and Scandal [NBC] and most recently Forever [ABC], and in TV programs like One Tree Hill [WB] and Inside Fame [CMT]. Worldwide Groove Corporation consider their own releases to be a well loved side project.  "At some point, we need to be able to work on music just to feed our own souls creatively," says Goebel," and that is why we take the time to put out our own releases. It matters to us in a different way than the work we do for our clients, and we are grateful for those who call themselves fans of our work. We never take that for granted."
