Workshop on Energy Development in Houston, Texas

HOUSTON - Feb. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- From March 4 to 5, 2015 the Workshop on Energy Development will hold in Houston, Texas, USA.  This program will involve a tour of Houston, as well as a tour of the Wiess Energy Hall of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.  It will culminate in a full day course – An Overview of the Energy Industry.  This is organized by Africa to America Productions LLC and Premium Hedge Oil Resources.

The World’s Most Sophisticated Energy Exhibit

Participants will explore the entire process of energy development; from how oil and natural gas are formed to the ways various types of energy are used.  The Wiess Energy Hall explores the application of scientific concepts and advanced technology in the oil and gas industry.  The hall incorporates dynamic interactive learning methods, including computer graphics, touch screens, holographic video displays, and virtual reality.  “Our goal is to keep the Wiess Energy Hall on the cutting edge,” says Joel A. Bartsch, President of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.  “Everything in the exhibit is state-of-the art, from the new and developing energy technologies featured to the computer interactives that illustrate that technology in colorful detail.”

An Overview of the Energy Industry

How does your job fit into the petroleum value chain?  Learn about the fundamental, interlocking links of the industry and the economics of how each link in the chain influences the others.  Upstream: Geology (How is oil formed?); Exploration (How is oil found in the earth?); Drilling (How is it done? What about drilling rights?) Downstream: Transportation (How do oil and gas get from the source to the consumer?) and Refining (What is done to crude oil to make it usable?)  The program will include breakfast, lunch and a guided tour of the Wiess Energy Hall.
