EDA announces The Ultimate Suite and an Updated Version of Docsvault

The first announcement is regarding introduction of the Docsvault Ultimate Suite. The Ultimate Suite has been designed to provide users with a comprehensive package. It will have all features of the Small Business as well as Enterprise edition plus all the automation add-ons that have been created by EDA, all packed in one bundle.

The Ultimate Suite is a one-stop solution for all the document management needs of an organization.

The second announcement is about the release of an updated version (Version 8.2.1030) of Docsvault. The updated version is set to include a number of new features and enhancements.

Highlighted New Features

Docsvault Mobile
A free mobile app – Docsvault Mobile, has been launched for Android and iOS with the aim of enabling users to access their documents on the Docsvault server, from anywhere and that too securely. Users can also go through their full repository, search, uploading new documents, edit notes and description, view profiles, create new folders etc. on the move.

Controlling Index Values
Users will now be able to have complete control over the index values by creating input masks so as to reduce the skill level required for data entry thereby reducing human error.

In addition to this users will also be able to setup index fields to dynamically fill up index values based on current date/time or current username, auto increment/decrement for numeric index values (ex. for auto increment of revision #), inherited index values (or sticky values), and also prevent further editing of index values.

An added capability is to be able to view the profile of top level folder under any cabinet (1st level folders) in addition to the sub-items own profile values quite easily.

Document Preview

One can now preview the document within the web application without downloading the file.

In addition to these new features, the update includes a host of enhancements and fixes.Improvements to the workflow, digital signatures, document import, audit log etc vastly improve the user experience and enhance the productivity of users.
