Microsoft to Sponsor Entrepreneurial Laboratory for Students in New York City

NEW YORK - Feb. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- 3 Day Startup (3DS) is a 72-hour learning-by-doing program that teaches entrepreneurial skills to young entrepreneurs in an extreme hands-on environment. From April 24-26, 2015, Microsoft will host 40+ developers, designers and visionaries from around the Tri-State area at their 11 Times Square, New York, NY 10036 location. Outcomes for participants are to launch a technology company using a suite of Windows developer tools compatible with Microsoft devices, pitch ideas to investors, and leave with a team to continue development.

The program will incorporate Microsoft evangelist and business partners as mentors, in addition to a slate of tech entrepreneurs that have been successful in launching, exiting, and raising capital for ventures.

Microsoft will provide all qualifying startups with immediate access to the BizSpark (http://www.microsoft.com/bizspark/) program. BizSpark provides free software, support, and visibility (http://www.microsoft.com/bizspark/startupstories/default....) to help startups succeed. The three-year program gives startups: $750 per month of FREE Azure, FREE software and tools such as Visual Studio and Office.
