Book Signing & Launch for Ridge, Stephanie Payne Hurt's Newest Romance

ZEBULON, Ga. - Feb. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Since childhood Stephanie Payne Hurt has loved books. She was introduced to romance novels in her early teens and so began her fascination with writing. With stories filling her head she filled notebooks with manuscripts of stories, but they were just dreams.

That was until 2012 when her niece and accounting assistant, Kaleigh found some of her notebooks that were filed in the back of a file drawer. She read them and said the stories needed to be told in a public form, so that started Stephanie’s writing career. It was no longer a hobby to be stored away. They started searching the web for ways to self-publish books. It wasn’t long until the books were out there.

Now, three years later Stephanie has fans in many countries and new found friends. Even authors that she’s looked up to are now friends and sounding boards for new ideas. As each book is released the passion for writing fills her dreams. Her motto is “Everyone needs a little Romance.”

Her first book, Ghost Lover, was published in May 2012. Ghost Lover was actually started over twenty years ago. As she read the old, yellowed pages of the handwritten manuscript from her young years she had to smile. This was what she’d yearned to do, but never thought it was possible until now.

Stephanie starts most days with coffee and writing. She tries to get in at least 500 words every morning before she goes to work in her accounting office. Then at night as her husband of 21 years, Tommy and her 15 year old son Hunter watch television, she slips into the world that she creates with words. Since she’s also a Children’s Minister at Friendship Baptist Church, people constantly ask how she has time to write and she always smiles. “I find time here and there to get in my writing.”

She’s been featured in Southern Writer’s Magazine three times and the Fleet Life in the UK once. Last year she made it to the 2^nd round in the Amazon Breakthrough Author Awards with Finding The Right Time. Her book With All My Heart made it to the bestseller’s list on Amazon. Stephanie’s writing is found on many e-book sites in print, audio and paperback forms and as of February 14^th of this year in A Novel Experience Bookstore in Zebulon, Georgia.

Now with 14 books under her belt and several in the works, she strives to carry her readers to another time or place, if only for a moment. Her newest book, Ridge, is the first book in the Five Oaks Ranch series. This series is a western romance about a Georgia ranch and the family that runs it. Each book is based on one of the siblings. They are each different in their own special way.
