Pedego Greater Long Beach Rockets to Second Anniversary

SEAL BEACH, Calif. - Feb. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Two years ago, Pedego Greater Long Beach settled into Seal Beach right around Valentine’s Day — and started a love affair with the community. Co-owners Beth Black and Brian Ballard are elated with the location of their Pedego Electric Bikes dealership. “Seal Beach is a wonderful community,” said Black. “We're so proud to have introduced our neighbors to the joys of electric biking.” To celebrate, they’re throwing a party at Pedego Greater Long Beach and inviting the public. The party starts at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, rain or shine.

The party will be one of the couple's most memorable events since they opened their doors. “We're delighted to see so many people enjoying Pedego electric bikes,” said Ballard. “We're looking forward to welcoming the community to a really fun party this Saturday.”

Pedego Greater Long Beach has plenty to celebrate with another year of spectacular success, due in part to some surprises that marked 2014.  Black won a competition by sending a brief essay to Time Warner Cable Business Class. The award was a national ad campaign, including a TV commercial and Internet presence. As a result, the couple has enjoyed introducing the fun of electric bikes to people all around the country.

Pedego Greater Long Beach has also achieved some local acclaim. Ballard is well-known for attending community events to promote Pedego. In December 2014, Irvine-based Pedego Electric Bikes awarded the couple a special prize at the annual Pedego Dealers Meeting: a Pedego-branded tent in recognition of Ballard's efforts at so many outdoor events. And it is well used.

Celebrations at Pedego Greater Long Beach always include a lot of food and fun. Activities will include free test rides and a raffle with great prizes. The shop is also offering a discount on some of their chic biking accessories. At 3:00 p.m., guests will take part in a group Pedego ride. Several electric bikes will be available for visitors to ride for free during this popular activity. Helmets will be provided for those who plan to ride, but they may want to bring a light jacket.

"We're so excited to be starting our third year," said Black. "Time Warner Cable even helped us kick it off with another photo shoot in the store!" Ballard smiled and added, "Looks like we'll be rolling into another great year at Pedego Greater Long Beach!"
