His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, pontiff of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham of Mysore, India, led a mass chanting session for the benefit of world peace. Conducted on January 31st, 2015 in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, this event brought together more than 220,000 people chanting the verses of Hanuman Chalisa. This is a Hindu Chant to Lord Hanuman, the God who manifests energy, happiness and protection. "Hanuman Chalisa is a very ancient prayer dating back over 400 years. This particular prayer is especially chosen for chanting since the collective sound vibrations create positive impact thereby promoting universal brotherhood, and aid in the well-being of the entire universe" said Sri Swamiji.

The Guinness World Records has recognized the event for the most people chanting.

Sri Swamiji is a leading exponent of "Nada Chikitsa" or "healing through music". He has performed concerts at The Lincoln Center in New York, The Royal Albert Hall in London, The Chicago Symphony Center, The Esplanade in Singapore  and the upcoming concert at The Sydney Opera House in April 2015.
