LOS ANGELES - Feb. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Milt Olin Foundation & Yield to Life Rally Against Distracted Driving Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 at Pedalers Fork, Calabasas, CA.

Event marks anniversary of high profile Entertainment Attorney's fatal bike accident.

Los Angeles, CA (February 2nd, 2015) -- On Sunday, February 22nd, cyclists will take to the street and rally to bring attention to the deadly consequences of distracted driving. The Milt Olin Foundation and Yield to Life have come together to help prevent cyclists from being killed by inattentive motorists. These two non-profit organizations are initiating the “#Hands Off” campaign targeting motorists who continue to use electronic devices while driving.

"It's been over a year since I tragically lost Milt," said Louise Olin, founder of The Milt Olin Foundation. "Since then I have met many people whose lives have been affected by distracted drivers. This event is an opportunity for cyclists and non-cyclists to use their voice and show their support against this safety epidemic. The Milt Olin Foundation and Yield to Life will continue the fight to enact change to save lives".

The rally point for the event will be at Pedalers Fork, 23504 Calabasas Road, Calabasas, CA 91302. Registration for the riders begins at 7:30am, and the ride will start at 9:00am. Supporters are encouraged to meet at Pedalers Fork at 10:30am and help welcome riders as they finish. The post-ride rally will feature music, food, raffle, and informational speakers.

Both organizations invite you to this event to show your support and bring public awareness to this very important issue and help save lives! To register for the event or to make a donation, go to www.HandsOffRally.com

About Milt Olin Foundation:

Milt Olin, former Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs at A&M Records, former COO of Napster and Founding Partner of Altschul & Olin Law, was riding his bicycle in the bike Lane on Mulholland Hwy in Calabasas when he was fatally struck and killed by a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy, who was a distracted driver.  Following this tragedy, Milt's wife, Louise Olin created the Milt Olin Foundation, which is dedicated to eliminating bicycle-related fatalities and serious injuries, through encouraging distraction-free driving.

About Yield to Life:

World Class cyclist David Zabriskie created Yield to Life in order to promote cycling as a healthy, environmentally-friendly lifestyle, and to ensure the safety of those who cycle.  Yield to Life’s goal is to prevent the senseless accidents that keep occurring between motorists and cyclists. They plan to achieve this by heightening awareness, fostering respect, and strengthening understanding between and among all who use the roads. Motorists and cyclists have equal rights to the road. All life on the road is precious. Take a minute to ensure the safety of those around you. Look for cyclists. Expect to see cyclists. An extra moment of your time can prevent a tragedy. YIELD TO LIFE!
